On - going Alexander Technique classes for professional and amateur performers.

These classes are intended for students who have completed an 8-week AT course, have prior experience with AT and have worked with me privately or in a full or part-time acting program.

The primary focus is on maintaining your AT practice, continuous learning and unlearning, and fostering connection with fellow creative folks.
Within a supportive group and under the guidance of an Alexander teacher, these classes provide a safe and enjoyable environment for experimentation and new experiences beyond your comfort zone.

The curriculum covers a variety of topics catering to the specific needs or requests of the group, including basic anatomy, fundamental movement principles, breath, voice, deep listening, sensory awareness, group discussions and play, all while adhering to the Principles of the Alexander Technique.

Each week we apply the AT principles to the technical elements of art forms and rehearsal of material at the stages of anticipation, intention, performance and analysis.

Places are limited to 10. Book in advance to ensure your place.
Creative schedule? Just book the classes that you’re available, up to 12hrs before.

Cost

Learn the AT principles to slow down, expand awareness and to gather your body, mind, and spirit in the present moment.
The Technique strengthens your ability to choose. In developing the skills to say ‘no’ to the habitual reactions that interfere with your work, such as physical tension or the inner critic, you make space for ‘yes’. Yes to play, connect, perform and allow creativity to arise.

“People do not decide their futures, they decide their habits and their habits decide their futures,” F. M. Alexander

These classes are held on the unceded lands of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations. We pay my respects to their Elders past, present and future. This always was and always will be Aboriginal Land.
